I met Cole Navin when he applied to work at my office as an accounting apprentice. After hiring him, I have had the opportunity to teach him about accounting and supervise him throughout the 2018 tax season as he assembled and prepared taxes, and met clients.

Cole has continually shown a willingness to learn and an intrigue in accounting. Each day, he came into work determined and started work right away. Throughout the 2018 tax season, Cole has assembled tax returns that myself and other accountants have prepared and has handled customer relations from assisting clients to explaining their returns to them. After tax season ended and into the summer, he has prepared many tax returns for individuals and other entities, including amended returns. Cole has also done QuickBooks accounting such as reconciling and creating invoices. If Cole ever has questions, I encourage him to ask them but also provide a recommendation on how to solve the problem, which he excels at.

Cole has been a spectacular employee, and would be a wonderful addition to any workplace. He is a personable employee with a bright personality and strong work ethic. He has a growing understanding of accounting concepts and reports, such as the balance sheet and income sheet, as well as tax forms used to complete a return. In any job, his ability to create connections with coworkers and clients is unparalleled and impactful, a rare quality.
